I think names are a necessary topic for discussion on this site.  Christian Right, Religious Right, Dominionism, Reconstructionism, Neo-Conservative... all these names generally speaking refer to an overarching thought structure - but at the same time each of these groups have distinct differences that I think we often lose sight of when discussing all these groups as a whole.  To have a serious discussion, we should really come up with definitions and naming conventions so that we don't confuse or inadvertently criticize when we don't mean to.
I'm thinking this may be similar to the different sects within Christianity.  Lutheran, Protestant, Episcopalian, Methodist, etc.  All Christians, but also all different in little (or sometimes big) ways.

Perhaps the pre/post millenium schism is where the overall organiztion will be fractured.  Growing up in a Baptist church that was a member of the General Association of Regular Baptist Churches (GARBC) I can remeber at least to church splits over this topic.  A divided organization concerned with doctrianal infighting is to my mind preferable to a unified one.
